A routine eye examination annually, is mandatory for everyone above the age of 40 years, children and adults with glasses, ocular conditions and people with family history of eye problems.

Your Routine Eye Checkup includes:

  • Detailed History and Lifestyle Evaluation: to provide the information concerning your health and lifestyle background.
  • The optical quality and power measurement of your current spectacle is noted.
  • Visual Acuity Testing: Measures the eye’s ability to see objects at near and far distances with and without your glasses. It involves reading letters or looking at symbols of different sizes on an eye chart.
  • Refraction: The optometrist conducts the examination to determine your new glass prescription and advises for a change of glasses if required.
  • Tonometry: Used to measure your eye pressure (Intra Ocular Pressure- IOP). An important measurement in diagnosing an eye condition called glaucoma.
  • Complete Anterior segment Examination by Dr. Sonal before Dilatation process.
  • Dilation Drops: Will take between 20-45 minutes to completely dilate your eyes for the retinal check
  • Further examination by the doctorto examine retina, lens etc.

At the end of the checkup, your current ocular statusis explained by our doctor and he/she is advised for any further tests or treatment if required.

Auto Refractometer

Digital computerized testing to instantaneously determine the spectacle number of the eye and also helps derive your contact lens measurements. Its Automatic, Quick and very accurate.

Auto Lensometer

Gives automatic measurement of the correct prescription in a pair of eyeglasses, and to confirm the correct mounting of lenses in spectacle frames.

I-Care Tonometer

Enables hygienic and effortless eye pressure measurement that is barely noticed by the patient, making it suitable for all patients from the very young, to the older generation, even for post-surgical applications. Measuring with an Icare tonometer is free from air puff, anesthesia, drops or other preparation.

Keeler - Streak Retinoscope

The age old and most accurate instrument used to find spectacle power in children and adults. The only preferred option in challenging cases like in physically and mentally challenged patients, people who are bed ridden or have neurological conditions like Parkinson’s etc.
