Fundus Camera from Kowa – Japan
Fundus camera is used extensively in retinal clinics for periodically capturing retinal and optic nerve images for monitoring and comparison. It is also used for used for Digital Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA).
FFA Is a common procedure that is performed to give your doctor more information about the circulation of the retina and choroid.
A small amount of yellow fluorescein dye is injected into a vein in your arm. The dye travels to your eye where it highlights the blood vessels.Images are acquired immediately after injection and continued for ten minutes depending on the pathology being imaged with instant printed report.
Helps in excellent diagnosis and planning treatment of many retinal conditions like diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration.
Dimensional Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography(Zeiss OCT)
Is a non-invasive imaging test, using light waves to take cross-section pictures of the retina. Similar to CT scans of internal organs, it is the CT Scan of the retina.
With OCT, your ophthalmologist can see each of the retina's 10 distinctive layers. Thus,allowing the doctor to differentiate and measure the thickness of each of the layers of retina and choroid.
The key benefits of OCT are:

It is very useful in studying the cross section of the cornea to understand and analyze various diseases of the cornea.
